MO-HITS SIGNS TO KANYE WEST'S G.O.O.D MUSIC LABEL.
Reports of hip-hop artist Jmartins collaboration with Shakira recently filled media reports across Nigeria while the duo of P-square have announced a collaboration with American rapper Drake who according to the brothers will also feature on their upcoming album as well as guest performance at their upcoming album launch this July.
The D'banj featuring rapper Snoop Dogg on 'Mr Endowed Remix' came as a surprise to many fans and critics even as the President and CEO of Mo'hits Don Jazzy announced on his official twitter page months before the official release that such a project was on-going; a declaration of doubts and disbeliefs many Nigerians are accustomed to the ‘rumours-to-fame’ tradition of many Nigerian celebrities.
Speaking to D’Banj’s manager, Sunday Are of List Entertainment, he confirmed that there have been talks recently but D’Banj officially signed the contract. “Yes there have been discussions between the two parties lately. They have been exchanging contracts but now the wait is over, he said. It so happened that Kanye West & D’Banj birthday (a day apart) is today! So i guess this was planned.
Sources also revealed that Kanye is interested in working with Don Jazzy. We heard he wants him to produce a song on the collaboration album he is working on with Jay Z.
John Legend and Common were the first to sign to the management and production company. Their albums “Get Lifted and Be” (both executive-produced by West) were both critically acclaimed and combined were nominated for 7 Grammy Award nominations. “Get Lifted” had three nominations and “Be” had four.G.O.O.D Music is a record label, management company that parades acts like Common, John Legend, Pusha T, Mos Def, Big Sean, Chi D Prynce.
