Manchester United FC Roundup 2016/2017 Season With 3 Trophies

The 2016–17 season is Manchester United 's 25th season in the Premier League , and their 42nd consecutive season in the top-flight of English football. It began against Leicester City in the FA
Community Shield , with United prevailing 2–1 to win the first trophy of the domestic calendar.  In February 2017, the club won their second trophy of the campaign, beating Southampton3–2 in the EFL Cup Final(Carling Cup).  On 24 May 2017 came the third
trophy of the campaign, the UEFA Europa League .

As a result of winning the 2015–16 FA Cup, Manchester United were scheduled to face Leicester City , who won the 2015/16 Premier League , in their 30th FA Community Shield appearance.

Moments before they lifted the trophy,Jose urged his players to hold up three fingers during their Europa League celebrations to represent the trophies Manchester United have won since he joined Old Trafford last summer.

"We always thought that we could win the Europa
League and we are very happy. We played
intelligently, we did it in a comfortable way. We
were much stronger than them,’ Mourinho told BT
Sport after the match.
‘If you are dominant in the air you go long. There
are lots of poets in football but poets don’t win
many titles.
‘We knew where we were better than them and we
exploited their weaknesses."

He was strongly criticised by numerous fans and spectators...
