Independence day messages continue to flood in from the government and individuals agencies , citizens, friends and well-wishers.

President Buhari sounded very disappointed about some negative faction of Nigeria with the agenda of sharing the country and in quote 
"that responsible communities leaders do not warn their hot-headed youths what the country went through. Those who were there should tell those who were not there, the consequences of such folly."
Also telling Nigerians to be grateful to the Nigerian Armed Force for combating terror of biafra and bokoharam.
He also said a new presidential initiative is starting with each state of the Federation creating a minimum of 10,000 jobs for unemployed youths, again with the aid of CBN’s development finance initiatives.

The Federal Government of Nigeria  declared Monday,October 2nd, public holiday to commemorate Nigeria’s 57th Independence Anniversary.

Former President Dr. Goodluck Jonathan also sent his warm felicitations to Nigerians

The wife of the President Mrs Aisha Buhari, also urged Nigerian women to champion unity as a means of national development among different ethic groups in Nigeria

General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida, IBB, urged all Nigerians to always embrace peace and dialogue as they are antidotes for conflict resolution.

The Trade Union Congress of Nigeria (TUC) in its independence message on Saturday, said Nigeria at this stage still “dances naked to the full glare of the whole world while its roof is on fire”.(I still don't understand the dance he means)
