"Why We Visited President Tinubu", Bill Gates, Dangote Speaks

President Bola Tinubu received Bill Gate and Aliko Dangote behind closed doors at the presidential villa in Abuja on Monday Speaking to journalists after the closed-door meeting, Dangote said he and his friend, Bill Gate, has come to carry the president along on the activities of the Bill and Melinda Gate Foundation, particularly in the health sector Dangote said Nigerians should expect more from the foundation while expressing optimism for more corporations from the government.

Aso, Villa, Abuja - President Bola Tinubu will be meeting with the founder of Microsoft and co-chair of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Bill Gates, and Chairman of Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, at the presidential villa in Abuja on Monday, June 19. Speaking on their visit, Dangote said he led the Microsoft boss to the Presidential Villa to update President Tinubu on the efforts of the foundation in enhancing Nigeria's healthcare sector.

In the video, Dangote said the visit was part of the commitment of the Bill and Melinda Gate Foundation to work closely with leaders and communities to support innovation.

Dangote said: "To help Nigeria, so that our health sector will keep improving, which will turn out to be better for the whole citizens of the country". He further stressed that Nigerians should expect more from the foundation while they are expecting corporations from the side of the government.

The foundation over time has actively engaged in various efforts in the area of philanthropy across the world. The video of the billionaires' visit to the new Nigerian president was shared by the media handle of the president on Twitter, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Media Centre.

In the video, the American entrepreneur and Nigerian business mogul were seen being ushered into the presidential villa in a bid to meet with the President.

President Bola Tinubu will be out of Nigeria on Tuesday for the signing of a New Global Financial Pact in Paris, the capital of France. The visit will be the first official outing of Bola Tinubu as Nigerian President since he resumed office 23 days ago. Joining on the trip are members of the Presidential Policy Advisory Council and they are expected to return to the country on Saturday.
