Kazuhiro Watanabe’s Mohawk measures 3ft 8.6in. He has the most hair-raising barnet ever — and he’s got a Guinness World Record to prove it.

It takes stylists two hours to make it stand upright, using one can of gel and three cans of hairspray.

The Japanese fashion designer — pictured in Washington Square Park, New York — said he grew his Mohawk to rebel against the conformity of his home country’s society.

Watanabe has held the Guinness World Record title since January 2011.
